Gung Hay Fat Choy!
What a GREAT Chinese New Year parade weekend! Wow! Quite excellent day! A big thanks to all our friends from across the nation that joined us! We did drum corps proud!
And a big thanks to the many folks who contributed to this year's big success including Lani, who's glitterly thing-a-ma-bobs made us stars under the lights, the souvie folks who set up the whole Renegades store on Treasure Island, Dave and his great hotel deal, Anne and her enthusiastic email skills, Johanna and her endless energy making Chevy's happen, the Chinese Parade folks who welcomed us into their spectacular event and a slew of others.
Mission accomplished! Gung Hay Fat Choy!
We have lots of photos and stories from the weekend coming. Of course, Trill-master Rob Brown's parade photos are the first to hit! PS: When is this guy going to actually march on the field with us?
Check this blog over the next few days for more parade goodies!!
See you between the cable car tracks,

I'm so glad everyone liked the thing-a-ma-bobs (aka sashes/accents/scarves)... I found my work well rewarded in everyone's enthusiasm! The whole parade was an amazing experience, I'm so glad that I FINALLY got to share it with my Rene-family! WOOOT!
Hey Greg and crew,
Thanks for open invite to be a "Renegade for a day". I definitely had a great time on saturday and look forward to doing that again.
As far as getting on the field? Ummmm....
Are their screaming fans that jump up and down when you play, plug their ears due to the wave of volume, and cheer wildly when you're done playing like they do in the Chinese New Years Parade?
gosh yes dude... they even throw their babies at us...
and let me remind you... six, seven standing O's at finals in '04... oh yeah baby, you totally need to be on the field with us....
The red shirts and scarves looked GENIUS for the CNY parade.
